Someideas for extra practice or enrichment
1 Because thislesson involves music, give the students extra listening practice by playing anEnglish song for them. While listening to the song, have them write down asmany words as they can hear. Tell them that this includes words like and, a,but, etc. Play the tape one or two more times to let them listen to thesong again. Then ask the students for all the words they heard. Write the wordson the Bb. This encourages the students because they can see all the Englishwords they did actually hear. This physically shows them that they are makingprogress in their English listening.
2 In small groups of about 6, ask the students to writetheir own song. It doesn‘t have to be serious, but can be silly. Then have thempractise the song and sing it for the class. Vote to see which song thestudents like best. Then have the group teach the whole class their song.
